Putter none
A putter does not hop. We will not pretend it does.
People ask us to “fit the putter for rollout.” That sentence mixes two instruments. The tick tape is for a ball that leaves the crust and comes back. A putt never leaves. Calling pace a walk trains the wrong eye.
We will look at a putter if you brought it. We will talk face mill, start line, and whether the head is a brick on freeze-thaw poa. We will not stick hop tape on a putt and write a walk number. That would be a cute lie, and this room already has enough yellow paint.
If your putts race on July bake, that is stimp and pace, not a hop. If they die on April ice crust, that is a surface that is still frozen in the thatch. Neither problem is solved by the driver-walk method. We will name a pace board in town if you want one. We will not sell you a mallet because a hop sheet had a blank row.
The Prairie Walk tier excludes the putter on purpose. You are not being shorted. You are being protected from a fake metric. If you still want to talk putter, book a Frost Tick and pick “Putter (talk only)” on the form. Tess will talk. The tape stays on the wall.
